Singing and pure vibration have more power than the conscious mind can really perceive, just pure beautiful sound vibration touching others on a soul level, cutting through time and space connecting us all as one.
This is beautifully demonstrated in the wonderful epic film “Australia” directed and written by Baz Luhrmann. The story begins just before WW II. Nullah is a mixed blood aboriginal boy taken in by Lady Sarah Ashley after his mother dies. When they get separated at various points in the film through circumstances far beyond their control, upon parting, Nullah would always shouts out “I Will Sing You to Me”. Their connecting song was “Over The Rainbow”, which Lady Sarah first sang to Nullha to console him after his mother had died.
After this first departing and returning, Lady Sarah realizes the power of their connection through their love and their song and then she always responds… “And I will hear you my darling”.
This is also explained when the cattle-herding party have to take a three-day trek through the desert to find water. At this point, the Magic Man, King George magically appears to lead them to water, and when the crew is not sure about following him, one of the man in the work party explains, “The ancestors created songs for everything…for every rock and tree and they’re all linked. On Gallapa, the magic man sings them in order. He’ll sing us to water…even across the Never Now (the desert).”
